We are engaged in the battle to eradicate blindness in the world. The Club has raised in excess of £40,000 from the sale of books, art and garden and home produce to restore sight in India and Africa.
Financial support has been given recently to the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), which has assisted with natural disasters on a global scale.
We serve the local community, for example by providing days out for disadvantaged children in local schools.

Our main current projects include:
• the purchase and assembly of a garden gazebo for the enjoyment of the residents of the New Wycliffe Home for the Blind

• the donation of £5250 to provide specially adapted play equipment suitable for use by disabled children at Menphys

• the purchase of restaurant furniture for Age Concern, Leicester

• payment for the refurbishment of counselling rooms at Laura Centre

• providing outdoor play equipment for Oaklands Special School
